Terms and condition of dental treatments

“our”, “we” “us” “clinic” means Art-Medic Ltd.
“our dentist”, “our physicians” or whom we refer to as our medical professionals means person(s) who work for Art-Medic Ltd.
“our website” means this website
“you”, “client”, “customer”, “visitor”, “reader”, “patient” means a person who intends to use or uses our services or visits our website
Patient
The patient attests that he or she is at least 18 years of age and fully able to deal by himself or herself. If the patient is younger than 18 , the agreement of his or her parents is necessary.
Quotation
Patient can get an initial quotation from the clinic if provides X-rays, dental reports or other sufficient information and can also have a telephone consultation with our dentist. The clinic can provide a final quotation after an overall status assessment.
After the status assessment and consultation, the patient will receive a final quotation, which includes a list of all cost items related to the dental treatment. If the patient accepts the final quotation, the patient has to sign it. One copy stays with the patient, the other with the clinic.
Our quotation looks like an invoice, it is a cost calculation. It lists all cost items, quantities, unit prices and sum prices.
The patient will pay the amount that is included in the final quotation. Our Dentists do their best to predict all costs of the treatment. In a rare case, modification of the final quotation might be necessary during the treatment. As soon as any non-predicted cost appears our Dentists will properly detail it and consult with you in order to get your approval.
Prices and payment terms
Our prices are fixed in EUR. Our fixed EUR prices are published at our website at Prices and savings All prices quoted are net. Treatments are not subject to value added tax (V.A.T.) in Hungary.
Currencies other than EUR are subject to everyday currency exchange rate fluctuation. We apply currency exchange rates published by
The payment is on pro-rata basis the treatment done and begun. That generally means around 60% of the quoted amount should be paid at the end of the 1st day of your treatment and the rest when completed.
If the entire treatment takes longer than 14 days (e.g. implantation, etc.), we split the entire treatment into separate phases and payment should be made by phases. That means only the completed phase should be paid.
For any payments, the clinic will issue an invoice.
The payment for any treatment can be made either in cash or by credit/debit card.
We accept Maestro, MasterCard, Visa, Visa Electron. The credit/debit card would be charged either in in HUF or EUR.
If you pay by cash we can give 2% discount.
We accept cash in EUR, GBP or HUF.
In the case of cash payment other than EUR, we apply currency exchange rates published at
Currency exchange, payment and any collection costs that might arise are the liability of the patient.
Documentation
Our patients get official written documentation as follows:
- Terms and Conditions of Dental Treatments (this present document)
- Patient data sheet
- Treatment plan and Quotation
- Declaration of consent before root canal treatment, implantation, surgery, teeth whitening and general anaesthesia
- Acknowledgement of receipt and guarantee statement
- Final invoice
- Pre and Post treatment instructions
At the first visit, you should fill in a Patient data sheet and sign it. The data sheet contains personal data like name, address, contacts, allergies, sickness and medications, etc. One copy stays with the clinic and you can get a copy by your request.
Before the treatment, we prepare Treatment plan and
If you accept the Treatment Plan and Quotation, you and we should sign them. You will get a copy and a copy stays with the clinic.
All surgeries carry certain risks of complications. Our dentist will explain the possible anticipated outcomes and risks of your surgery and treatment. Before root canal treatment, surgery, implantation, teeth whitening and anaesthesia the patient has to sign a document called Declaration of consent. One copy stays with the clinic and you can get a copy by your request.
When the treatment completed and you are satisfied with the result, you and we should sign the Acknowledgement of receipt. The documents declare the result of the treatments and the guarantee periods. One copy stays with you, the other with the clinic.
For any payments, the clinic will issue the Final invoice. You should to sign the invoice. One copy stays with you, the other with the clinic.
By the end you will get the After Treatment Instructions what you should follow after the treatment. You should sign it and one copy stays with you, the other with the clinic.
Guarantee conditions
The guarantees refer to the entire work done, i.e. all materials, labor work and treatment. The guarantees in years are published at our website at Guarantee and safety.

The guarantee is only valid for procedures that were done in our clinic. Costs arising from work done in other dental offices are not covered under our guarantee. The guarantee can only be claimed at our clinic.
In case of implant failure we will place another implant at no additional cost to you.
The guarantee of the implants is valid only if we will complete the full work (e.g. placing the implants, the abutement, the crowns, bridges, dentures, etc.).
There might be cases when a dental problem occurred and can not be decided the route cause. In these cases the guarantee is only valid for remedial dental work and does not cover travelling and accommodation costs.
When a dental problem is clearly occurred due to our work, we will pay the return ticket to a low cost airline and a three-star accommodation into our dedicated hotels up to 60 EUR/night and we will make the remedial dental work. It is the Clinic’s decision to book the air ticket for the patient or the patient can book it. When the clinic books the air ticket we will consult with the patient when he or she can come.
Guarantee will be reduced or invalidated if
- the patient fails to visit the clinic for annual checking up or fails to provide adequate and verifiable information about his or her dental status at least once a year
- patient neglects oral hygiene
- instructions in the document of "Pre and Post treatment instructions" are not kept or followed
- Unforeseen root canal treatment after having tooth or teeth prepared for crown and bridgework. Occasionally, teeth might suffer preparation trauma during crown and bridgework, inlay treatment resulting in a need for a root canal treatment afterwards
- the patient undergoes treatment or laboratory work provided by another dental clinic
- self-treatment or intervention such as removal of stitches after an operation or under-grounding prosthesis, etc.
- the gum tissue or jaw/teeth bone are significantly reducing or pathological
- bad habitual biting, bruxism, teeth grinding
- the patient loses or gains a substantial amount of weight during a short period.
- problems caused by malnutrition or other bad habits
- in case of accidental damage (e.g. falls down, fight, accident or other events caused by drugs, alcohol or other materials resulting in mental disfunction, etc.)
- accidents, modifications that come up during emergency interventions and that affect the performed dental treatment
- a general illness occurring that has negative effects on the dental condition (e.g. diabetes, epilepsy, and osteoporosis, condition after x-rays or chemotherapy, etc.).
- diseases of masticator apparatus caused by general, infectious diseases, tumours, poisonings, etc., or the treatment of these illnesses
- denture is not used properly
- denture is not cleaned with dental cleaning supplies and tools
- problem reported lately or patient cannot provide the defective denture (please, contact immediately if something happens to the denture!).
- patient does not notify the clinic prior to exercising their guarantee
- when the treatment received has not been paid in full and all current accounts have not been honoured.
Complaint or What if something goes wrong
If you have any complaints or you feel there is something going wrong after the treatment, the first thing is to contact with us directly immediately.
Before visiting us or exercising any guarantee, you should consult with our clinic. It is important to send us an e-mail after or before you call us. In the e-mail, please write down your problem and provide your telephone number or other contact details. Depending on the urgency, we will contact you quickly or within 24 hours during weekdays.
After you contact us, we will ask questions from you, which help us to diagnose the problem. When we know the diagnosis, we will provide instructions what you should do and what we will do.
